Unless expressly stated in this privacy policy, Uebersax Design GmbH processes and stores personal data of data subjects only for the period necessary to achieve the purpose of storage, or as provided for by legal requirements to which Uebersax Design GmbH is subject.
If the purpose of storage no longer applies or if a statutory retention period expires, personal data is routinely blocked or deleted in accordance with legal requirements.
9 Legal basis for processing
No data is processed without a legal basis. The following serve as such:
- consent
- the conclusion or performance of a contract or a request from the data subject prior to this (pre-contractual)

11 Collection, processing, and use of personal data
11.1 Personal data
Personal data refers to information concerning the factual or personal circumstances of a specific or identifiable natural person. This includes, for example, your name and your email address.
11.2 Use of your data for advertising purposes
In addition to using your data for sending the newsletter, we also use your data to display personalized advertising.
You can object to the use of your personal data for advertising purposes at any time by sending your objection to hi@uebersaxbranding.ch.
11.2.1 Newsletter
When you sign up for our newsletter, the personal data you provide is stored for the purpose of sending you the newsletter. The newsletter informs you about us and our offerings.
If you would like to subscribe to our newsletter, the information marked with an * (self-declared) is mandatory.
We use the double opt-in procedure for sending our newsletter, which means we will only send you a newsletter via email once you have expressly confirmed that you consent to receiving it. We will send you a notification email and ask you to confirm that you would like to receive our newsletter by clicking on a link contained in that email. If you decide later that you no longer wish to receive our newsletter, you can unsubscribe at any time. An unsubscribe link is included in every newsletter.
11.2.2 Service recommendations via email
As a customer of Uebersax Design GmbH, you will occasionally receive product or service recommendations from us via email. You will receive these recommendations regardless of whether you have subscribed to a newsletter. We do this to provide you with information about products from our range that may interest you based on your recent purchases. We strictly adhere to legal requirements in this regard. If you no longer wish to receive product recommendations or promotional messages from us, you can object to this at any time without incurring any costs other than the transmission costs at the basic rates. An email to hi@uebersaxbranding.ch is sufficient. Of course, you will also find an unsubscribe link in every email.
12 Cookies
This website uses cookies. Cookies are small text files that are stored permanently or temporarily when you visit this website. The purpose of these cookies is primarily to analyze the use of this website for statistical evaluation and for continuous improvement.
You can deactivate cookies in your browser settings at any time, either partially or completely. If cookies are deactivated, you may no longer be able to use all the functions of this website.
12.1 What are cookies?
Cookies are small files stored on your device that save specific settings and data for exchange with our system via your browser.
In general, there are two different types of cookies: session cookies, which are deleted as soon as you close your browser, and temporary/permanent cookies, which are stored on your device for a longer period or indefinitely. This storage helps us to tailor our websites and offerings to your needs and makes your experience easier by, for example, saving certain inputs so that you do not have to repeat them constantly.
12.2 Which cookies does Uebersax Design GmbH use?
Most of the cookies we use are automatically deleted from your hard drive at the end of your browser session (session cookies). We also use cookies that remain on your hard drive. When you visit us again, the system automatically recognizes that you have been here before and remembers your preferred inputs and settings.
These temporary or permanent cookies (with a lifespan of 1 month to 10 years) are stored on your hard drive and delete themselves automatically after the specified time. These cookies are used in particular to make our website more user-friendly, effective, and secure. Thanks to these files, it is possible, for example, to display information on the site that is specifically tailored to your interests.
The sole purpose of these cookies is to adapt our offerings to your customer needs as effectively as possible and to make your browsing experience with us as comfortable as possible.
12.3 What data is stored in the cookies?
Only pseudonymous data is stored in the cookies used by Uebersax Design GmbH. When a cookie is activated, an identification number is assigned to it, and your personal data is not linked to this identification number. Your name, IP address, or similar data that would allow the cookie to be linked to you are not stored in the cookie. Based on cookie technology, we only receive pseudonymized information, for example, about which pages of our website were visited, which services, articles, or cases were viewed, etc.
14.4 What is onsite targeting?
Data is collected on the Uebersax Design GmbH website using cookie technology to optimize our advertising and our entire online offering. This data is not used to identify you personally, but serves solely for a pseudonymous evaluation of how the website is used. Your data is never merged with the personal data we have stored.
With this technology, we can present you with advertisements and/or special offers and services based on information obtained in connection with clickstream analysis (for example, advertising tailored to the fact that you have only viewed content on topics such as strategy or design in the last few days).
Our goal is to make our online offerings as attractive as possible for you and to present you with advertising that matches your areas of interest.
12.5 Are there also third-party cookies?
Uebersax Design GmbH works with advertising partners who help make our online offerings and website more interesting for you. Therefore, cookies from partner companies are stored on your hard drive when you visit our website. These are temporary or permanent cookies that are automatically deleted after the specified time. These temporary or permanent cookies (with a lifespan of 14 days to 10 years) are stored on your hard drive and delete themselves automatically after the specified time.
The cookies from our partner companies also contain only pseudonymous, and often anonymous, data. This includes, for example, information about which products you have viewed, whether a purchase was made, which products were searched for, etc. Some of our advertising partners also collect information beyond our websites about which pages you have previously visited or which products you were interested in, in order to display advertisements that best match your interests.
These pseudonymous data are never merged with your personal data. Their sole purpose is to enable our advertising partners to show you advertisements that may actually be of interest to you.
12.6 Re-targeting
Our websites use re-targeting technologies. We use these technologies to make our online offerings more interesting for you. This technique allows us to reach internet users who have already shown interest in our website and our offerings with advertisements on our partners' websites.
We believe that displaying personalized, interest-based advertising is generally more relevant to internet users than advertising that has no such personal connection. These advertisements are displayed on our partners' sites based on cookie technology and an analysis of previous usage behavior. This form of advertising is entirely pseudonymous. No usage profiles are merged with your personal data.
The legal basis for processing your personal data using cookies depends on whether we ask for your consent. If we ask for your consent and you agree to the use of cookies, the basis for processing your data is your consent. If we do not obtain your consent, we process the personal data collected via cookies based on our legitimate interests (e.g., in analyzing and optimizing our services and offerings) or, if the use of cookies is necessary, to fulfill our contractual obligations.
12.7 How can you prevent cookies from being stored?
You can configure your browser to only accept cookies if you provide your consent. If you wish to accept Uebersax Design GmbH cookies but not those from our service providers and partners, you can select the "Block third-party cookies" setting in your browser.
The help function in the menu bar of most web browsers will show you how to reject new cookies and disable existing ones. Alternatively, you can visit https://www.aboutcookies.org. There, you will find step-by-step instructions on how to manage and delete cookies in most browsers.
If you are using a shared computer configured to accept cookies and Flash cookies, we recommend that you always log out completely after you have finished your session.
13 Log Files
Each time you access the Uebersax Design GmbH pages, usage data is transmitted by your internet browser and stored in log files, known as server log files. The records stored contain the following data: date and time of access, name of the page accessed, IP address, referrer URL (the source URL from which you arrived at the website), the amount of data transferred, and product and version information of the browser used.
User IP addresses are deleted or anonymized after use. In the case of anonymization, the IP addresses are modified in such a way that the individual details about personal or factual circumstances can no longer be attributed to a specific or identifiable natural person, or only with a disproportionate amount of time, cost, and effort.
We analyze these log file records in an anonymized form to further improve our services and make them more user-friendly, to identify and fix errors more quickly, and to manage server capacity. For example, this allows us to understand when the Uebersax Design GmbH website is most popular and to provide the appropriate data volume to ensure you have the fastest possible shopping experience. Furthermore, by analyzing the log files, we can identify and resolve any errors on the Uebersax Design GmbH website more quickly. These purposes also constitute our legitimate interest in data processing.
14 Web Analysis
This website uses various services for website analysis and tracking, which we explain in more detail below. We also show you how you can prevent these services from evaluating your usage behavior on our website. Where we ask for your consent to use third-party services, the legal basis for this form of data processing is your consent. If we do not obtain your consent, your personal data will be processed on the basis of our legitimate interests (i.e., for optimization and marketing purposes and to design our website in line with user interests).
14.1 Google Analytics
This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA, or, if you are habitually resident in the European Economic Area (EEA) or Switzerland, Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland ("Google").
Google Analytics uses "cookies." The information generated by the cookie about your use of our website (including your IP address) may be transmitted to and stored on a Google server in the USA.
We only use Google Analytics with IP anonymization enabled. This means that your IP address is shortened by Google within Switzerland or the EU/EEA.
Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be sent to a Google server in the USA and shortened there.
Google uses this information to evaluate your use of our website, to compile reports on website activity for us, and to provide other services related to website and internet usage. Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law, or where such third parties process the information on Google's behalf. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other data held by Google.
You can prevent the storage of cookies by adjusting your browser software settings accordingly; however, please note that if you do so, you may not be able to use the full functionality of our websites.
You can also prevent Google from collecting and processing data by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en. An opt-out cookie will be set to prevent your data from being collected during future visits to our website.
